Carnoustie Golf Links’ Senior Assistant Professional Keir McNicoll was victorious in the Midland Golfer’s Alliance final outing of the 2017/18 season at Crail Golfing Society’s Balcomie Links.
The Perla Shower Panels Championship was reduced to 31 holes due to a delayed start to the competition in Fife because of frost.
Keir didn’t let the delayed start or reduced holes affect him though as he carded a joint-lowest first round five-under 64, followed by a six-under 46 in the reduced round.
His winning total of 110 was two strokes ahead of Ian Murray of Leven Thistle, with Blairgowrie’s Stuart Graham a further six strokes behind.
Fraser Mann, another member of the Links, finished with a total of 120.
