The Open Qualifying
Course: Kilmarnock Brassie Golf Club
Round Score: 82
Tough day at the office yesterday at Open Qualifying. Got off to an bad start, mostly due to nerves, I think, and never managed to recover. Tough to settle when you can’t help but think what the possibilities are and I didn’t handle it at all, but it was a good experience I’ll learn from.

Round Score: 71,76,69,77
Tied 18th this weekend at the East of Scotland Amateur Tournament. Loads of good stuff, especially in the 3rd round this morning, but putted badly on the first day and made a mess of the 9th on the second day.

Tennant Cup

Round Score: 78,71,67,69
I was running on fumes after driving to The R&A Amateur which led to a difficult 1st round in the Tennant Cup, but managed to dig deep in the 2nd round to make the cut on the number, then produced some really good play on Sunday at Killermont to sneak my 2nd top 10 of the season .

The R&A Amateur Championship – Pre-Qualifier
Course: Southport & Ainsdale Golf Club
Round Score: 75
Missed the playoff by one shot. Cruising along -1 thru 10 then a mad 20 minutes cost me 5 shots and couldn’t quite recover. Lots of positives to take from the day, I had a lot of fun and the good shots were really good. I just need to tighten up the mistakes and I’ll be there!
