Callum Rust crowned winner of the fourth Carnoustie Golf Links 10-Hole Championship

Saturday 12th October saw the fourth playing of the Carnoustie Golf Links 10-Hole Championship.

After a day of tough conditions in the cold, wet, wind (intersected with some patches of glorious sunshine!) the top four nett scores held by Lee West, Brian Henderson, Callum Rust and Jamie Ewart qualified for the 10th playoff hole on the 18th hole of The Carnoustie championship Course.

All players were receiving one stroke on this hole so it was a scratch playoff and with all players making a 5 on the first attempt a second playoff attempt was required. Callum Rust came out on top the second time around with an excellent par to secure the title!

For the first time in the event there was an extra “hole in one challenge” held on the 13th hole in conjunction with our tournament sponsors Double A Trading. A spectacular prize of a brand new John Deere ride on lawn mower was up for grabs for anyone who was able to achieve the rarest shot in golf. Bobby Garland came the closest to the prize as his attempt hit the pin! Unfortunately no winner, this year.
